5# DAILY REPORT

The most dramatic part of Stairs2Hell begins. Only 24 hours left!

9 October 2026 | stav k 8.00

The anniversary edition of Stairs2Hell is entering its final day. EKO BAITS TEAM POLAND strengthened its lead during the night, but four Czech teams are now close behind and every heavy carp can change the standings again. Over the past 24 hours, the teams caught 46 scoring fish with a total weight of 643 kilograms. The competitors now face the final day and night, which traditionally bring some of the most dramatic moments of the entire competition.

On Thursday morning, only 570 grams separated the leading EKO BAITS TEAM POLAND from second-placed EBRO – BLACK CARP. However, at 4:40 a.m. on Friday, the defending champions caught a 25.15-kilogram carp at PEG 39. This improved the total weight of their three scoring fish to 76.92 kilograms and increased their lead to 8.30 kilograms.

The Czech team EBRO – BLACK CARP remains in second place with 68.62 kilograms. To take the lead, the team now needs a carp that would replace its lightest scoring fish and increase its total by at least 8.31 kilograms.

Overnight catches changed the top five

CT LOWRANCE – FREE FISH moved into third place during the night. The team from Sector 1 caught a 24.30-kilogram carp at PEG 6 and increased its total to 63.52 kilograms.

STARBAITS CZ is now in fourth place with 62.64 kilograms. CARPSTAR also moved into the top five after an important overnight catch. A 25.62-kilogram carp brought the team from PEG 36 into fifth place with a total of 60.92 kilograms.

Only 2.60 kilograms now separate third and fifth place. One heavy fish could therefore change both the podium positions and the entire top five within a few moments.

Five more carp over twenty kilograms

Since 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, the marshals have recorded 46 scoring carp with a total weight of 643 kilograms. The overall result of the anniversary edition has now reached 213 fish and 3,081 kilograms. The average weight of one scoring fish is 14.47 kilograms.

During the past 24 hours, the teams caught five more carp weighing over twenty kilograms, including two that also passed the 25-kilogram mark.

The heaviest fish of the competition is still the 27.32-kilogram carp caught by CT CARSTRADE – CHYTIL at PEG 33 on Monday morning. Before the final night begins, Stairs2Hell is therefore still waiting for the first 30-kilogram carp in its history.

The final night can change everything

Only 24 hours remain until the final signal. Previous editions have repeatedly shown that no lead is safe during the closing stage of the competition. A carp that replaces the lightest fish in a team’s scoring trio can move the team several places within minutes.

“In the final hours, I hope that as many teams as possible will catch a scoring fish. Most importantly, I hope that Stairs2Hell will once again show us why its closing stage can be so dramatic. I believe the standings will change again and that the winner will not be clear until the final signal,” says competition director Vít Černý.

The second competition director, Petr Šurek, also has a message for the competitors: “Do not give up and keep fighting until the final minute. We all know that the biggest fish often come during the final 24 hours. Let us fulfil this dream together and show that carp weighing more than thirty kilograms really do live in Novomlýnská Lake!”

The anniversary edition of Stairs2Hell will finish at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 10 October. The competitors now face the final day, the final night and their last opportunity to change the result. Only the final signal will show whether EKO BAITS TEAM POLAND will defend its title, whether the trophy will return to the Czech Republic, or whether a team that nobody expects will rise from further down the standings.
